We use Your Personal Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Phone number (if You sign in with a phone number)
- Email address (if You sign in with Apple or Google)
- The first name You enter in Your profile
- Usage Data
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. This may include information such as Your Device's unique identifiers, mobile operating system, the type of mobile device You use, app version, and other diagnostic data.
Information Collected While Using the Application
Pulse does not request or collect access to Your Device's camera, photo library, contacts, or location. If a future version of the Application requests any such access, You will be asked for Your prior permission at that time, and this Policy will be updated to reflect it. You can review and manage any permission the Application does request at any time through Your Device settings.
Signal Content
When You use the Service to send or receive a Signal, the content of that Signal (whether a preset message or one You write Yourself) is stored so it can be delivered and shown in Your history. Signal content, along with Your profile name, is visible to the Connection You send it to or receive it from.
Tracking and Diagnostic Technologies
Because the Service is a native mobile application rather than a website, We do not use browser cookies. We may use device-level identifiers and diagnostic tools to understand crashes, performance, and general usage patterns, which helps Us maintain and improve the Service. Where applicable, You can limit certain device-level tracking through Your Device's privacy settings.
Use of Your Personal Data
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service, including to deliver Signals between You and Your Connections and to monitor usage of the Service.
- To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service, including verifying Your identity at sign-in.
- For the performance of a contract: to process and manage any Pulse Premium subscription You purchase.
- To send You service communications: such as verification codes, security alerts, and notices that a Connection accepted an invitation or sent You a Signal. These communications are necessary to operate the Service and cannot be opted out of while Your Account remains active.
- To send You marketing communications, with Your consent: We may also want to tell You about new features, tips, or related offerings. We will only do this if You affirmatively opt in, and how We would reach You depends on how You signed in — if You signed in with a phone number, opted-in marketing messages would be sent by SMS to that number; if You signed in with Apple or Google, opted-in marketing messages would be sent to the email address associated with that account. You can opt in or out of marketing communications at any time from Notification settings within the Service, and opting out will not affect the service communications described above.
- To manage Your requests: to attend to and manage requests You make to Us.
- For business transfers: We may use Your information in connection with a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets.
- For other purposes: such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, and evaluating and improving the Service.
We may share Your personal information in the following situations:
- With Service Providers, to help Us operate the Service — for example, Apple (for Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and App Store subscription processing) and Google (for Sign in with Google).
- With Your Connections: when You send or receive a Signal, Your profile name and the Signal's content are visible to the Connection on the other end. Do not include information in a Signal that You do not want that specific person to see.
- For business transfers, as described above.
- With Your consent, for any other disclosed purpose.
We do not sell Your personal information.
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Our agreements.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information may be processed in, and transferred to, locations outside of Your state, province, country, or governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. By using the Service, You consent to this transfer. The Company takes reasonable steps to ensure Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy wherever it is processed.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete, or to request that We assist in deleting, the Personal Data We have collected about You. You may delete Your Account and associated data at any time from Settings within the Service. You may also contact Us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information You have provided. We may need to retain certain information where We have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Business Transactions
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred; We will provide notice before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Law Enforcement
We may disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
Other Legal Requirements
We may disclose Your Personal Data in the good-faith belief that doing so is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend Our rights or property, prevent or investigate wrongdoing connected to the Service, protect the personal safety of users or the public, or protect against legal liability.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13, and We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If You are a parent or guardian and become aware Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware We have collected data from anyone under 13 without verified parental consent, We take steps to remove that information.
Links to Other Websites
Signing in with Apple or Google directs certain authentication data to those companies, which is governed by their own privacy policies (Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy; Google: policies.google.com/privacy). We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of any third-party service.
Nature of the Service
Pulse is a personal communication tool, not a monitored, moderated, crisis-intervention, emergency, or safety service. We do not review Signal content, and We cannot guarantee that a Signal will be seen or responded to within any particular time frame. Pulse is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or crisis counseling services. If You or someone else is in immediate danger, contact Your local emergency number or a crisis hotline directly — do not rely on Pulse.

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date above. For material changes, We will provide additional notice, such as an in-app notice or email, before the change takes effect.
